Virtual Leadership

Leading remote teams successfully

Senior managers who have to lead their teams remotely face a number of challenges. Virtual teamwork calls for more communication than classic teamwork does. A manager needs to specify clear rules of communication in order to coordinate and lead a virtual team successfully.

By looking at series of practical examples on the course, you will discover the key factors that make virtual leadership effective. You will learn how to build virtual teams and ensure they work effectively and economically. This will give you more confidence in managing staff in a motivating way despite the geographical distance.

Target Group

This training course is tailored for employees who have managerial responsibilities and need to lead teams remotely. It is equally suitable for project leaders.

During this four-day modular course we are going to find out about the key factors of virtual leadership and will then practise them together. You will enhance your own style of management in a way that focuses on goals as well as the people who work for you.

New ideas will be tried out straightaway in a series of practical exercises. During the practical periods between the training sessions you can apply newly acquired knowledge within your company to get used to behaving in new ways.

A number of tandem groups will be set up in class for learning purposes. These are supplemented by coaching calls that the participants make to each other during the periods of practice at work. Each consecutive training session builds on experiences gained form there on.
